Summary:
The Project Engineer will be the technical and project management lead for a set of closely aligned projects aimed at streamlining organizational processes.
This person will be called upon to use their depth and breadth of engineering knowledge, and their project management skills to lead engineering-centered Business Improvement projects from conception through post-audit. The Project Engineer will be frequently challenged with ambiguity; the organization will expect them to collaborate with stakeholders and to use their problem solving skills to simplify issues and keep the projects moving forward.
This position requires the candidate to possess strong engineering skills, effective communication skills, tact, resourcefulness and project management skills.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment. Occasional domestic or international travel.
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of business improvement projects to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements to deliver Company revenue and profit.
Translate project goals into actionable and measurable tasks for project team members
Lead cross-functional project teams and communicate project status to management
Be the technical lead for these projects
Develop and maintain project schedules
Track all project issues and resolutions of those issues
Maintain strong working relationships with Master Lock plants and outside vendors
Lead frequent project review meetings with internal team, as well as outside sources
Delegate project tasks, as needed, to respective personnel/departments.
Identify ways to reduce costs, improve quality, and shorten project execution
Work with cross-functional groups (Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Packaging, Financial, legal ) to achieve projects that are on time, on cost and on specification
Interact with all levels of corporate personnel (i.e. Managers, Directors, Vice-Presidents, President)

Requirements
Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 8 years engineering and program management experience
Clear and concise communication skills
Strong grasp of fundamental engineering concepts
Strong familiarity with mechanical and electro-mechanical product development and manufacturing practices
Familiarity with software development practices is preferred
Strength in statistical engineering and manufacturing methods
A strong track record in successful project management
Highly motivated and enjoys a results-oriented environment
Detail oriented
Ability to deal diplomatically but firmly, when necessary, with all disciplines in the organization
Experience with Microsoft Project or similar software
Familiar with best practices in document management and control
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma principles is preferred
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PDMA certification preferred
Prior experience within the security industry preferred
Requires up to 15% domestic or international travel

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
